Healthy Raw Banana Almond Ice Cream
Feeling bad or guilty after eating to much ice-cream? It doesn't have to be that way. Did you know that ice-cream can be healthy? Yes, you read it right. This raw banana almond ice-cream is actually good for you and you SHOULD eat it. Packed with amazing vitamins and flavor, this raw ice-cream is hard to beat.Simply freeze a few bananas, add almond milk, coconut oil, a little cinnamon and mix it all up in a blender. If you have a bit of a sweet tooth you can put in a little extra coconut sugar, but it depends on how sweet your bananas are.
The consistency should be quite thick when you poor it into a container. Last but not least stir in the cacao nibs, so you get small chunks, here and there.
Raw cacao beans actually contains the most antioxidant on the planet and are full of magnesium and iron! I love the rich bitter flavor they give. Let the ice-cream freeze for 4-5 hours. Because this ice-cream doesn't have any preservatives, it melts quite fast so eat it right away.
Now to make the sauce, mix the mangoes in a blender with a cup of water, until it's smooth and semi thick. To make it a bit extra special I add some spice. It's sure to flip your taste-buds out, and I mean that in a good way! It complements the ice-cream perfectly with it's sweet-sour wake-me-up effect. Chili is great for the body too, and is an excellent source of vitamin A, which is good for the eyes, bones, teeth and skin. It also contains vitamin B-6 , that helps the body to break down protein and plays a vital role in maintaining the health of red blood cells and is also a natural pain reliever.
