Kanye and Beckham Mourn at London Fashion Week
London Fashion Week catwalks were put on hold due to the loss of a great mentor from Central Saint Martins––one of the most prestigious design school in London. Louise Wilson was a passionate individual who taught at CSM for 22 years, with an alumni roll call of some of the finest designers of our time, including McQueen and Stella McCartney.
Kanye West and Victoria Beckham stood amongst friends and family of Wilson’s at the memorial. Former students Christopher Kane, Louise Goldin, Simone Rocha and Roksanda Ilincic spoke about their experiences Wilson.
"She was tough, she wasn't an easy person, but the designers now say they were so pleased that she brought them out and made them themselves,” Suzy Menkes, international editor of Vogue, told members of the press.
In the evening, most of the memorial guests attended this year's graduate show by students all hand-picked by Wilson on the CSM fashion course.
