Nike X Sacai Party Takes Over London
Nike X Sacai put on an incredible show to kick off their collaboration in London on Wednesday. The show featured original choreography by FKA Twig’s personal choreographer, Ryan Heffington, and bass-heavy music that continued into the after party that followed thanks to beats supplied by DJ Nature, Shy FX, Seb Chew and Jetsss.
“We cast most dancers here in London, and brought in one from LA. We wanted a wide variety of styles and backgrounds,” explained Heffington. “It was about artists and athletes.”
The party showcased hooded tech-fleece sweatshirts that were sliced with signature pleated panelling and peplum folds, while graphic T-shirts came trimmed in mesh lace, worn with jogging trousers with contrasting elasticated ankle bands. A piece that really hit home was a skirt inspired by the Heritage Windrunner jacket, with accordion pleats in strips of rippling colour. The 8-piece collection was punctuated by bright highlighter pink and ocean blue, worn with the next-big-thing, Nike Air Max 90 sneakers – a new slip-on trainer with a trompe l’oeil wedges.
Nike x Sacai will be available on March 19 via Nike.com.
