Zoolander and Hansel Take the Valentino Runway at Paris Fashion Week
Valentino also posted a photo of the stars from the film striking a pose with Anna Wintour. Even the cold, dead serious editor-in-chief of Vogue couldn’t help but crack a smile.
Rumors have been circulating about a sequel for years and the rumors have finally come to fruition. In 2010 Ben Stiller spoke with MTV about the possibility and said, "In the fashion world, if you go away for a year, it’s changed — it just happens so quickly. I think the idea in the beginning of the movie is that it's 10 years later, and Derek and Hansel are literally forgotten. Nobody remembers who they are, so they have to reinvent themselves."
It’s still uncertain if Ben Stiller will again direct the second part of the Zoolander series, but as of now the film is set for a February 12, 2016 release according to a tweet from Paramount Studios. Will Ferrell will also return to reclaim his role as Mugatu.
Zoolander is an influential part of fashion now and will continue to remind us that the industry can––and should––laugh at itself. We’re counting down the days!
