Courtney Love’s daughter, Frances Cobain, reunited with her mother at the premiere of Kurt Cobain: Montage of Heck at the Sundance Film Festival this Saturday where both hugged it out in front of the cameras. The HBO documentary is the first authorized film about Cobain and Frances served as a visual artist and executive producer on the film.

Courtney and Frances had been apart for five years after Courtney lost custody of her daughter in 2009. 22-year-old Frances attacked her mother on Twitter for Courtney's accusations against former Nirvana member, Steve Grohl. Courtney accused Grohl for hitting on Frances in 2009, and Frances retaliated by urging Twitter to ban her mother from the site. Courtney later apologized, tweeting, "Bean, sorry I believed the gossip. Mommy loves you." In 2014, Love and Grohl put aside their differences and appeared on stage together at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, which welcomed Nirvana into the prestigious fold, according to E!.

It’s always a happy sight to see mother and daughter put away their daggers and love each other once again.

Courtney Love has always been a rollercoaster of emotions and sobriety, but one aspect in her life always remains constant: her style. She was the curator of female grunge fashion, with running makeup, tattered clothes and wild hair. For this, Courtney will always be remembered as a fashion innovator.
